Blind flanges

‌A blind flange, also known as a blind plate, is a flange without main hole, used to close the end of a pipe system or as an end cover for equipment such as valves and pumps. ‌A blind flange has the functions of blocking the end of a pipe and facilitating the removal of debris from the pipe. Similar to the head and pipe cap, a blind flange can also serve as an isolation and cut-off function, but it has good sealing performance and is suitable for systems that require complete isolation‌.

The structure of a blind flange includes a round or square metal sheet, one side of which has a flange surface with an outer diameter and inner diameter matching the corresponding pipe size and with several bolt holes; the other side is a smooth sealing surface. When installed on the pipe, it is fixed to the adjacent flange by bolts and nuts to form a completely closed break‌.
